July 15, 2008 -- Hubbell Wiring Systems has introduced its netSELECT 2-inch extension brackets, designed to increase the capacity of rack enclosures, enabling them to accommodate networking and A/V equipment installations that require heat dissipation for thermal management. The brackets, attached to the face of the enclosure, extend the cabinet door out two inches. Made with durable welded construction, they require no assembly.

Hubbell notes that its netSELECT units are designed to provide discreet heat dissipation while maintaining install aesthetics, with louvers on the top and bottom panels. The panels also feature multiple knockouts for cable entry/exit and to accommodate a WiFi antenna attachment. The netSELECT brackets also allow an enclosure to hold variously sized components such as switches, routers or audio amplifiers.

The netSELECT extension brackets, which can be used with either 14-inch or 28-inch height enclosures, are aimed at integrators, service providers and value-added resellers because of their ease-of-use, pleasing form, rugged design and cost-effective performance, according to the company.
