May 7, 2008 -- The electronics components distributor has added the FCI-Burndy range of electrical products supporting the power utility sector, including construction, maintenance and repair, public services, and central offices.

May 7, 2008 -- Electronics components distributor Mouser Electronics recently announced the expansion of its FCI portfolio to include the Burndy line of products from the supplier's electrical division, FCI Electrical.

The FCI-Burndy range of electrical products supports the power utility sector, including construction, maintenance and repair, public services, and central offices.

"FCI-Burndy products is the brand preference leader when it comes to compression and mechanical connectors, and Mouser is one of the leaders in the distribution channel targeting design engineers," comments Paul Werthman, FCI EPI America's VP of marketing. "When leaders combine their efforts it typically leads to a very beneficial business relationship, which is what we envision with FCI-Burndy products and Mouser."

The enhanced linecard will include Burndy's UNIRAP, Halar, Velcro, and stainless steel cable ties, as well as heat shrink tubing, cable hangers, mounting bases, and cable tie tools.

The UNIRAP nylon cable ties are billed as tough, resilient, lightweight, and abrasion resistant ties that offer high tensile strength and are chemically resistive to solvents, alkalies, grease, and diluted acids. The Halar ties meet NEC regulations and are ideal for applications where low-smoke and low-flame are a concern, such as air-handling spaces.

"Adding FCI-Burndy groducts to the Mouser line card enhances our product offering and allows us to honor our commitment to deliver high quality, innovative products to the design engineering community," concludes Barry McConnell, Mouser's VP of product marketing.
