FIS offering fiber-based cameras

As part of its line of security-based products, Fiber Instrument Sales (www.fiberinstrumentsales.com) now offers vandal-resistant video cameras. The company says its cameras provide enhanced imaging and can transmit up to 8 kilometers without re-amplification.

Each camera includes a built-in transmitter, camera mount, receiver, 3.5- to 8-millimeter varifocial auto-iris lens, sun shroud, and voltage regulator (24 to 60 VDC). The cameras are available in multiple fiber modes, with heater options. Coaxial-based versions are also available.
