OFS, ADC, and Corning Cable Systems have been awarded recognition as "outstanding suppliers" to AT&T Inc.
OFS is a producer of optical fiber, optical fiber cable, FTTX, optical connectivity, and specialty photonics prod for a wide variety of applications and industries. ADC provides connectivity products for wireline, wireless, cable, broadcast, and enterprise networks.
Each company received one of 49 supplier recognition awards for its work in helping AT&T deliver outstanding service to its customers during the past year. Corning Cable Systems provides fiber-optic and copper telecommunications platforms including cabling, connectors, hardware, splice equipment, test equipment, etc.
OFS was recognized for its contributions in the "Teamwork" category. ADC was recognized for its contributions in the "Technical Innovations" category. Corning Cable Systems was recognized for contributions in the category of "Product and Service Performance."
"We are proud of our long-standing tradition of providing unparalleled products and services to our business and residential customers," comments Maureen Merkle, president of AT&T's procurement unit. "We're successful on that front in large part thanks to [our] supplier partners, who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty."
According to a press release, as part of its annual supplier recognition program, AT&T took out a half-page ad in the June 7, 2006, edition of The Wall Street Journal to publicly thank the selected companies.
