October 3, 2006 -- Hubbell Premise Wiring has released its NextSpeed Category 6 shielded 10GbE system, which the company says delivers standards-compliant 10-Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) transmissions for a full 100 meters, providing headroom beyond 500 MHz and adding protection against ANEXT, external noise, and EMI.

According to the company, the tuned system is comprised of specially designed components, center-balanced to work together, including: jacks, patch cords, 1RU 24-port panels, and Cat 6 ScTP cabling.

The NextSpeed SJ6 jack, with its inversely oriented right-angled IDC contacts, allows each pair to be segregated, suppressing pair-to-pair NEXT. The 100% factory performance tested PS6 patch cord's plug incorporates a two-piece conductor sled design to optimize performance and control NEXT.

The PS24 19" panels are a 1-rack unit, 24-port high-density patch panel, with a built-in shelf providing cable management and strain relief for each individual cable. The NextSpeed Category 6 ScTP cable is constructed with polyester backed aluminum foil shield, which protects the twisted pairs from ANEXT and external noise.
