Adesta acquires Prime Networks

May 23, 2006
May 23, 2006 -- The acquisition of the Atlanta-based network design-build contractor is said to bolster Adesta's national and regional operations strategy of expansion in the southeastern U.S.

Adesta LLC, a systems integrator and project management company for communication networks and electronic security systems, has acquired all of the assets of Prime Networks, Inc., a design-build contractor specializing in the development of network infrastructure. The terms of the acquisition were not released.

Adesta says that Prime Networks' capabilities - including design, engineering, construction, and maintenance services for both wired and wireless networks - will round out the Adesta suite of service offerings with additional expertise and internal capacity to provide all types of wireless products and services, along with other sophisticated broadband and IP/IT technologies. Similarly, Adesta's resources and management platform are expected to enhance Prime's capabilities, advancing that company's position as an expert in the field of designing and integrating municipal wireless networks, as well as turnkey fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) network development.

"This is a win/win situation for both companies," contends Bob Sommerfeld, president of Adesta. "Adesta's capabilities to provide complete turnkey, single point of contact, design-build services for stand-alone or converged communications networks and security systems will be enhanced by this relationship with Prime Networks."

"Having the resources of Adesta behind us puts Prime Networks much closer to reaching our goal of becoming the premier broadband network development company in the nation," adds Glenn Shaffren, president of Prime Networks. "Their national footprint represents an opportunity for Prime to provide services to our existing customers in all regions of the country and bring our unique capabilities to Adesta's extensive client base."

Prime Networks will continue to operate from its main office in Atlanta, GA and from a satellite office in Tampa, FL, in accordance with Adesta's national and regional operations strategy to expand in the southeastern U.S. Efforts to increase employee staffing to meet new, imminent, and pending opportunities will begin immediately, according to a press release.
