Emerson Network Power to hold business continuity leadership activities

Feb. 27, 2006 - Series of seminars and webcasts will address key issues facing IT and business management.

Emerson Network Power has announced a series of business continuity leadership activities to be held throughout this year, including 15 in-person seminars and eight live webcasts.

The Business Continuity Leadership Series, sponsored by Emerson Network Power and Liebert, is designed to bring together leading authorities on business continuity to address key issues facing IT and business management. The theme of this year's events, which kick off with a webcast March 1, and an in-person seminar April 18, in Kansas City, MO, is Building a Resilient Organization for Business Continuity.

Emerson Network Power is collaborating with Cisco Systems on a 15-city event tour, which will include experts on business continuity and resiliency and breakout sessions on creating a secure network foundation and managing power and cooling challenges for new technologies. Cisco sessions will include building a secure network foundation for IP communications and other critical applications focused on integrating routing, switching, wireless and security solutions to maximize performance, reliability, resiliency and security.

The Business Continuity Leadership Series webcasts will pair Liebert executives with experts from a number of disciplines to offer real world strategies to ensure business continuity. Each of the eight webcasts will focus on an IT Infrastructure to Flex with Technology Advancements and Business Change.

"Recent events have highlighted the role of IT resiliency in enabling business continuity," says Earle Weaver, North American president of Liebert. "Through the Emerson Business Continuity Leadership Series we want to facilitate the dissemination of new business continuity strategies as well as increase peer-to-peer sharing among professionals with responsibilities in these areas."

Emerson Network Power, an Emerson business, manufactures reliable power, connectivity and precision cooling solutions. The company is based in Columbus, OH. For more information visit www.liebert.com/events.
