March 21, 2007 -- Milestone Systems, a provider of open platform IP video management software, has announced the establishment of an office in Germany, as well as the appointment of a new channel marketing manager to support the growth of the company's international partner network.
The company says the opening of its office in Germany will further strengthen its international business activities. Stefan Teuber, previously of Sanyo, has joined the Milestone team as sales manager for the region. Teuber will be responsible for managing the Milestone partner channel in Germany, providing sales expertise that draws on many years of experience in the security business.
According to a press release, for the past five years, Teuber was the European sales manager for Sanyo, responsible for setting up that company's sales network in Europe. Prior to this, he served as key account manager for Convision Systems in Germany, where he first got to know the Milestone IP video management software for its support of the widest choice in network hardware.
"IP is the future of video surveillance, and this is the perfect time to enter this fast growing market. It is a huge opportunity for me to join Milestone, the market leader in open IP video software solutions," comments Teuber.
According to Milestone, Teuber's focus will be to set up a strong and competent sales network that spans both the security and IT industries where the analog-digital convergence is taking place. The company's German office will be expanded with pre-sales and technical support resources this year, as well. "We have high expectations for the German market, so we are very pleased that we succeeded in attracting Stefan Teuber," remarks Mads Bo Frederiksen, VP of sales at Milestone Systems.
The Milestone Systems office in Germany is based out of Haag i.OB. in Bayern. Stefan Teuber can be contacted at the following number: +49 (0) 8072 442173.
Seperately, Milestone Systems announced that it has added Martin Kaufmann as channel marketing manager to support the growth of the company's international partner network.
Based out of the company's headquarters in Copenhagen, Kaufmann will be responsible for handling Milestone partner programs worldwide, as well as events in EMEA and APAC. The company plans to bolster its partner channel in 62 countries with new initiatives across key regions.
A graduate of the Copenhagen Business School, Kaufmann brings more than fifteen years of experience in international sales, marketing and training in business-to-business activities, including positions at IBM, Canon and Thrane & Thrane. He has managed strategic and tactical marketing and sales projects including channel partner programs and initiatives such as conferences, seminars, events and sales promotion activities.
"Martin Kaufmann joins Milestone with a proven track record in channel marketing in exactly the right areas where we plan to increase focus," comments Henrik Friborg, co-founder and VP of strategic alliances at Milestone Systems. "He will help us to further develop and strengthen our all-important partner programs for resellers, integrated solution providers, and manufacturers."
"I am really excited to be joining Milestone, and I'm looking forward to contributing to the company's phenomenal success," says Kaufmann. "The first job is to organize the next global partner conference to be held here in Copenhagen in September."
Milestone now holds two such international partner events every year: one in Florida in February and another in Denmark in September. Last month's 3-day forum in Miami was the company's biggest ever, it says, with 150 participants from 20 countries, including representatives and speakers from a dozen security manufacturers and vendors. The conferences include certification training on the newest versions of the Milestone IP video software.
