March 7, 2007 -- Nuvio Corp., a provider of VoIP PBX systems, announced that it has completed its acquisition of the assets of VoIP provider Ionosphere, Inc.
"We are very excited about the staff and customers of Ionosphere joining the Nuvio family," comments Jason P. Talley, president and CEO of Nuvio "We believe that our technology, reliability and stability will offer Ionosphere customers industry leading features and quality of service. These customers should be excited at the expanded scope of our product offerings, including our hosted PBX product, nPBX, to deploy in their businesses."
Nuvio notes that it continues to seek out acquisitions that complement its focus on hosted PBX and wholesale business. "We will aggressively pursue opportunities that enhance our business and provide an opportunity for us to extend our stable and reliable services to new customers," continues Talley. "We view this successful acquisition as merely the first of many."
As a provider of hosted VoIP platforms for businesses, Nuvio's products are distributed through a channel comprised of network integrators, VARs, service providers and telecom agents. Nuvio also provides products through a private labeled wholesale arrangement. The company says it relies upon proprietary technology to provide its VoIP services.
"Our ability to know exactly how our technology works and to rapidly make any changes to our codebase allowed us to easily and seamlessly convert customers from Ionosphere's switching platform to ours, with minimal disruptions to our new customers," concludes Talley.
