August 2, 2007 -- At the 2007 BICSI Fall Conference in Las Vegas, Leviton says it will feature two interactive opportunities at its booth #104.
First, the company's JackRapid Termination contest is designed for Leviton CAT 5e/5e+/6 connectors, to be terminated with Fluke's JackRapid Punchdown tool. The tool allows a user to cut eight wires at once. The contest's top performer will win a Harman Kardon Guide Play GPS-500.
Leviton will also feature its FastCAM LC Fiber Optic Connector termination demonstration. The company's FastCAM pre-polished connectors provide precision mechanical termination of singlemode or multimode fiber. With no proprietary tools, epoxy, or time-consuming hand polishing required, the connectors terminate precisely and quickly in the field, says the company.
Connectors are available in LC, SC, or ST, singlemode or multimode (standard 50/125 µm, 62.5/125 µm, and laser optimized 50/125 µm) configurations terminated on 250 or 900 µ m buffered fiber.
