September 6, 2007 -- Digital and IP video surveillance systems provider Vicon Industries Inc. has been designated by PEPPM as an "awarded vendor" for security camera equipment. PEPPM is a nationwide technology bid-protection program serving educational agencies, county governments, and local municipalities.

According to a press release, the relationship will provide benefits to both Vicon and qualifying PEPPM organizations. Agencies that place orders through PEPPM will purchase Vicon's products at the most current, lowest available price, eliminating the bid process and expediting procurement. Agencies will also benefit from the thorough investigation and selection process performed by PEPPM before designating "awarded vendors" for each product category.

Procedures for placing orders through PEPPM are documented on the organization's Website. The site also includes a complete listing of available Vicon products.

"With security such a hot topic within the educational community, we hope that our affiliation with PEPPM encourages school officials to seriously consider what Vicon products can offer," says Susanne Ruse, inside sales manager at Vicon. "We realize that PEPPM awards contracts only to top performing technology manufacturers and we at Vicon are proud to be among this select group."
