September 24, 2007 -- Monster recently introduced its line of Speed Rated HDMI Cables, which are based on HDMI 1.3 Category 2 standards.

According to the company, the Core, Monster Ultra Home Theater, and M Series lines of cables come in a variety of lengths and levels of HDMI performance, including Standard Speed (MC 500HD; U3 V500 HD), High Speed (MC 700HD; U3 V600 HD), Advanced High Speed (M650 HD; MC 800HD; U3 V850 HD) Ultra High Speed (M850 HD; MC 1000HD; U3 V1000 HD), and Ultimate High Speed (M1000 HD).

The Monster HDMI cables are guaranteed to provide specified levels of bandwidth and high definition performance, as verified and certified by the Simplay HD HDMI testing program. All of the cables are identified on their packaging according to the "Monster Speed Medallion System and Performance Bars." The performance bars identify the cables as to their capabilities for refresh rates, advanced color, and other HDMI features.

Along with the products, the company announced the launch of it educational "Need for Speed" campaign, to educate retail salespeople and consumers. The program will be offered to Monster HDMI retailers as part of the company's M5 attachment selling program.
