December 3, 2007 -- Belkin has introduced its HDMI 2-to-1 video switch, which links two HD devices, such as an HD-DVD player and a video game console, to an HDTV through a single HDMI or DVI connection.
The company notes that while many HDTVs only have a single HDMI input, which compromises the video quality of other HD devices, the HDMI 2-to-1 video switch allows a user to toggle between two HDMI devices. The device supports 480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p video and audio resolutions.
Other features include: powered by HDMI cable connection to HDTV; works with HDCP-compliant devices; connects and switches both HDMI and HDMI to DVI cables; selects inputs from the IR remote control (included).
The device is priced at $49.99.
