ADC expands OmniReach FTTX platform

October 4, 2007 -- At the 2007 FTTH Conference and Expo in Orlando, FL, ADC announced that it will introduce new additions to its OmniReach FTTX solutions line.

October 4, 2007 -- At the 2007 FTTH Conference and Expo in Orlando, FL, ADC announced that it will introduce new additions to its OmniReach FTTX solutions line. The company says the suite of products now extends through all areas of the network, from the central office/headend, to the outside plant, to the premises.

Additions to the product line include the OmniReach Splitter Fiber Distribution Terminal for Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) applications, and the company's Plug-and-Play MDU Solutions product family, including the OmniReach Plug-and Play Indoor Fiber Distribution Hub (iFDH); a Plug-and-Play Fiber Distribution Terminal (FDT); and a Plug-and Play MT Collector Enclosure suitable for use in distinct MDU architectures.

"Today's market environment requires continuous infrastructure improvements to meet consumers' ever-changing demands," comments Jack Field, vice president, FTTX and OSP product management for ADC's Global Connectivity Solutions line. "ADC's comprehensive FTTX portfolio of application-specific solutions ensures service providers that their networks will support a broad range of next-generation applications to meet their customers' demands for increased bandwidth and enhanced services."
