October 26, 2007 -- Arnco Corp. has introduced its Cable-Max light-duty cable pulling system, designed for under-floor cable installations. Easily interchangeable accessories and pulling grips allow the system to easily feed the cable through conduit, says the company.

The system uses the company's flexible Polykat rod (the strongest fiberglass rod compared to other pulling systems, contends the company); the rod has an 80 percent fiberglass core compared to 50 percent fiberglass rods that are on the market. The guide head mounted on the front of the rod easily slips past all cables in the channel and prevents the rod from snagging on any obstacles.

The Cable-Max system has a lightweight and durable aluminum 18-inch cage that holds up to 260 feet of 3/16-inch rod. A light adjustable drag brake precisely controls the Polykat rod payout. Both ends of the rod have M5 threads, making it possible to work in both directions. The rod's universal screw connection allows the use of the same accessories as the company's Kati-Blitz premise cable pulling device.

The Cable-Max system is suitable for installation systems and conduits with nominal diameters of up to 2-inches.

"Because the fiberglass rod is strong, the Cable-Max is durable and easy to use, ensuring quality and efficient under-floor cable installations," comments Scott Wells, equipment and accessories product manager at Arnco.
