April 10, 2007 -- Fluke Networks, which purchased Crannog Software in January of this year, has announced the availability of NetFlow Tracker version 3.0, the first version of the software to carry the Fluke Networks brand.

Fluke calls NetFlow Tracker 3.0 a critical analysis tool for network managers tasked with demanding performance requirements in converging enterprise network environments.

"This is another milestone for Fluke Networks," comments Jeff Lime, Fluke Networks' senior vice president of marketing. "Combined with our concurrent announcement of new Visual UpTime products, and our existing enterprise solutions, we feel that no other company can offer the depth and breadth of solutions for enterprise performance management that we can."

According to Fluke, NetFlow Tracker - known for its ability to monitor "all flows, all the time" - now has the ability to attach a vrf/VPN value to each Tracker interface ID. This allows the tool to detect changes in the VPN and reconfigure itself to monitor new connections without user intervention, saving time and removing the possibility of human error.

NetFlow Tracker version 3.0 also offers significantly enhanced filtering and reporting capabilities that make it faster and easier to collect the flow data and report the results. The new filtering options are simpler to use yet offer more flexibility, says Fluke, and permit the filters to be saved for future use. A new report editor feature makes it easier for users to customize entry pages for creating dashboard executive reports.

The company notes that NetFlow Tracker offers strong support for carrier applications, and interfaces with many of the most important suppliers in the industry. NetFlow Tracker is a Cisco-certified platform, and Fluke Networks' Dublin office, which developed NetFlow Tracker, is a Cisco Technology Development Program Partner.

In addition, NetFlow Tracker is a Nortel-certified Open Development Partner product (with Nortel IPFIX support), a Juniper-certified Select Solutions/Alliance Partner product, and has proven interoperability with Packeteer, Expand, Enterasys, Riverbed and Huawei.

Fluke Networks' NetFlow Tracker 3.0 is available for immediate delivery from Fluke Networks' sales partners worldwide.
