May 16, 2007 -- Video surveillance systems provider Vicon Industries Inc. announced that it has opened two authorized service and repair centers in Eastern Canada.
The new centers, operated by Video Experts of Mississauga, Ontario and St-Laurent, Quebec, will join LAM Tech of Edmonton, Alberta, as locations authorized to provide warranty and non-warranty work on Vicon products. Vicon says the centers allow it to better accommodate the company's growing customer base in the Canadian market.
Video Experts is a CCTV service center that offers repair service and preventative maintenance for most of Vicon's products, including cameras and digital video recorders. The company will provide both English- and French-speaking call centers for each of the new locations.
Vicon says its parts will be on hand to ensure fast turnaround times, and that each unit serviced will undergo Video Experts' quality assurance testing program. The program consists of a unit being tested and monitored, re-evaluated internally, then sent to a cleaning station where it is externally evaluated.
"Canada continues to be a growing market for Vicon, and we are confident that the addition of Video Experts as an authorized service center will prove to be a welcome convenience to our customers there. It is also an indication of our overall corporate commitment to the Canadian market," says J.C. Caine, international sales manager at Vicon.
