May 18, 2006 -- Liberty Wire & Cable, a division of Communications Supply Corp. (CSC), announced that it has opened a new warehouse facility in the Chicago area to service commercial and residential customers in the Great Lakes region. Located in Carol Stream, Illinois, a suburb west of Chicago, the new warehouse includes more than 1,000 pallet spaces, says Liberty.
The company, a supplier of wire and cable products for the audio/video trade, including custom installers and systems integrators, says the expansion allows it to more quickly fulfill orders from its catalog of more 6,000 wire and cable products, and to deliver them at reduced shipping costs to customers in the Great Lakes region. The new warehouse will also provide "will-call service" to customers in the immediate area.
With the new facility operational, Liberty's management team says it is focusing on several additional warehouse facilities the company plans to open by the end of 2007. The expansion will help Liberty meet customer demand (which has increased by over 30% in each of the past four years, says the company), while positioning itself for further growth.
"Liberty's commitment to our customers made the decision to invest in the Chicago facility an easy one," comments Liberty's president, Andy Bergdoll. "Our ability to provide faster product delivery will give our customers a competitive advantage in the marketplace."
