When wiring an office Ethernet network, would you throw trash in the wall?

It's probably a tenet out of Social Media 101 to observe that, as with Reddit's voluminous cabling photos communities, so it goes at freewheeling Youtube, whereby the comments are half the game - at least.

So...an enterprising cabling technician calling himself the Network Advisor recently self-posted a [ed. note:by and large very credible] cabling tutorial video to Youtube entitled Wiring an Office Network. "This 15 min. video walks you through the basic steps you need to do to install the wiring, the jacks, and the patch panel for a small office Ethernet Network," wrote the installer.

Let the highlights of the video's comments tell the rest of the tale:

I like how you throw the garbage in the wall. - Andras Szell

Lol can't even put a few pieces of wire in a bag - 08yannch

I like how you tossed the trash into the outlet! :P - John-Paul Ensign

Thank you! There's a big difference between what you learn (lab, apprenticeship, tech school) versus what you do in the field when you've been doing this for ages. - Network Advisor

That is what the hole in the wall is made for lol I do that same thing 90% of the time. - ( . Y . )

Awesome video...easy to understand...no fluff...nicely done! - David Webb

Lol I watched this and thought: did he really just use that hole as a trashcan? Continued watching and laughed when you mentioned it. Nice vid. - Tom V.

+Tom V. Thanks. You know what is so funny Tom, is that one little event is responsible for about half the comments left on this video. I don't think I could have planned something more effective for boosting the popularity. :-) - Network Advisor
