Rexel fills division president posts

Jan. 7, 2004- Peter Schiller takes over the distributor's Mid-Atlantic division, and Mark Daniel assumes Schiller's former spot in the North East division.

Peter Schiller is the new president of the Mid-Atlantic Division for Rexel Inc. (www.rexelusa.com), an electrical and datacom distributor. Rexel has more than 65 branches in the U.S. and is based in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Schiller joined Rexel in 1992, and moves from his post as North East Division president. His more than 20 years as a distribution executive include a stint from 1998 to 2000 as vice president of Rexel's Northern Europe operation. The largest of Rexel's U.S. divisions, the Mid-Atlantic has branches in Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and southern Pennsylvania.

Also, Mark Daniel is now president of the North East Division. Located in Hudson, OH, the division has 24 branches in New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

A 19-year electrical-distribution industry veteran, Daniel served as branch manager for Rexel in Solon, OH in 1998, became industrial area manager in 201, and was promoted to regional manager for Northeast Ohio in 2002.

Rexel's U.S. operations are divided into seven geographic regions. Each is headed by a president, who reports to Dick Waterman, the company's Dallas-based executive vice president and chief operating officer.
