appointment of Ron Cates as associate vice president of sales and business development.
Cates is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in the telecom semiconductor sector. Prior to joining Metalink, he held executive level positions at Solarflare, Peregrine Semiconductor and Connexant Systems, among others.
"Ron's vast experience in the telecom industry strengthens our ability to better exploit the emerging cycle of network upgrades by North American carriers as triple play services are becoming a must for carriers to compete with the cable operators," says Tzvi Shukhman, Metalink's chairman and CEO.
