GFC acquires JAC Cable Inc.

Sept. 14, 2004 - Purchase is GFC's fourth acquisition this year.

GFC, a fulfillment services provider in the cable industry, has announced the acquisition of JAC Cable Inc.

JAC Cable Inc. is an installation and underground construction company based in Foxboro, MA, that serves Southern Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The JAC purchase is GFC's fourth publicly announced acquisition this year. GFC now has 60 facilities throughout the United States and an employee-based field force of 1,800. The addition of the Foxboro facility increases GFC's New England presence to seven offices.

"GFC's 2004 acquisition strategy serves to strengthen our nationwide presence, positioning GFC in the markets where our MSO customers need us," says Joe McGinley, GFC's executive vice president of business development.

GFC will immediately begin oversight of JAC's existing service contracts and implementation of its trademark performance monitoring system to ensure high levels of productivity, quality and safety.
