Belden CDT Networking Division has introduced Belden IBDN FiberExpress Structured Cabling Systems.
Belden IBDN FiberExpress optical fiber systems are complete end-to-end cabling solutions capable of supporting both centralized and fiber-to-the-desk (FTTD) topologies, as well as backbone and campus configurations.
Used to support gigabit and multi-gigabit communications protocols and networked applications, Belden IBDN fiber-based systems meet or exceed all applicable TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC and IEEE standards. Fiber systems offer greater bandwidth, high transmission speeds, extended reach, greater fault tolerance and optimum data security. By utilizing both modular and pre-terminated components, the FiberExpress systems also simplify the design and the installation of a fiber system.
Components of the FiberExpress systems include multimode and singlemode cables, the modular FiberExpress Manager, wall mount and rack mount patch panels with adapter strips, fiber patch cords and pigtails, Optimax Field-Installable Connectors and multimedia outlets.
A cornerstone of the system is the FiberExpress Manager. Used in either the equipment room or in the telecommunications room, this vital system component represents a scalable, modular approach to cable system design, installation, termination and maintenance. Optimax Field-Installable Connectors provide fast LC, SC or ST compatible optical cable termination. Another modular component, the FiberExpress Bar, is a compact linking panel that resembles a power bar. It is useful in consolidation points or as a multi-user telecommunications outlet assembly.
