June 22, 2004 - A regional sales manager and a rep firm will cover different parts of the country.

Gepco International (www.gepco.com), a manufacturer of broadcast audio and video cables and connectivity products, recently made two additions to its sales-force capabilities.

Gepco hired Mario Zavala as its Western Regional sales manager. Zavala has more than 20 years' experience in the wire and cable industry, including nine years with Belden Wire and Cable, where he focused primarily on the broadcast and audio/video markets. His customers have included such high-profile names as the Staples Center, Home Depot Training Complex, KABC, and Univision.

"Mario brings a level of expertise and experience to Gepco that we believe will strengthen our already solid positioning in the West Coast market," said Glen Powers, Gepco's national sales manager.

Gepco also recently enlisted Emerald Communications (www.vidreps.com) to lead the manufacturer's distribution efforts in Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, Alabama, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Emerald was founded in 1991 and specialized in establishing channels of distribution between professional video product manufacturers and dealers. The company has facilitated partnerships between industry notables including ViewSonic and Winsted with dealerships in the Southeastern United States.
