Video surveillance expert Pelco, Inc. acquired by private equity

California's Transom Capital Group has acquired Pelco from Schneider Electric.

Transom Capital Group, an operations-focused middle market private equity firm based in Los Angeles, on May 29 announced it has acquired Pelco, Inc., a top provider of video surveillance solutions, from Schneider Electric.

Pelco is known as a global expert in the design, development, and manufacture of predictive video security solutions including cameras, recording and management systems, software, and services.

Pelco says that its personal engagement with customers, resellers and technology partners has driven its development and deployment of surveillance and security solutions with meaningful innovation.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Transom was represented by Latham & Watkins as M&A counsel and Perkins Coie as debt finance counsel on this transaction. Wells Fargo provided the debt financing for the transaction.
