4K DisplayPort USB KVM extender supports HDBase-T with RS232

Network Technologies Inc. (NTI) has added its 4K DisplayPort USB KVM Extender over HDBase-T with RS232 product (Model # ST-C6USBDP4K-328) to its line of KVM extenders. The extender transmits uncompressed digital Ultra-HD 4Kx2K 30Hz 4:4:4 DisplayPort signaling, transparent USB, and RS232 data up to 328 feet over a single CATx cable using HDBase-T technology. 

Each ST-C6USBDP4K-328 consists of a local unit that connects to a computer, and a remote unit that connects to a UHD DisplayPort display and USB 2.0 device. Ultra-HD 4Kx2K resolutions to 3840x2160 and 4096x2160 @30Hz YUV 4:4:4 are supported to 328 feet via the extender, and HDTV resolutions to 1080p @60Hz are supported to 492 feet over CAT6/6a/7 cable.

The unit's fully transparent USB 2.0 port is ideal for extending any USB device such as a keyboard, mouse, game controller, USB flash drive, touch screen monitor, whiteboard, etc. Multiple USB devices can be extended by connecting a USB hub. The extender supports high-speed (480 Mbps), full-speed (12 Mbps), or low-speed (1.5 Mbps) USB devices.

DisplayPort features supported include: DisplayPort 1.2a; RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4; 48-bit Color; LPCM, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio; and 3D. The unit is HDCP compliant, and supports full-duplex RS232 up to 115200 baud. Integrated mounting brackets for easy surface/wall mounting are included. Available for immediate sale, the ST-C6USBDP4K-328 4K DisplayPort USB KVM Extender over HDBase-T with RS232 is priced at $795.
