Tech Data to distribute Pelco video surveillance platforms
March 18, 2009 Through its Physical Security Specialized Business Unit (SBU), IT products distributor Tech Data Corporation has announced an exclusive IT distribution agreement with Pelco, a producer of video surveillance equipment and security systems.
March 18, 2009 IT products distributor Tech Data has announced an exclusive IT distribution agreement with Pelco, a producer of video surveillance equipment and security systems. Through its Physical Security Specialized Business Unit (SBU), Tech Data offers its IT reseller customers access to a broad array of Pelco products. The Physical Security SBU is comprised of dedicated sales, technical, marketing and product management specialists helping resellers capitalize on the convergence of traditional analog and IP-based security solutions.
"In the emerging IP-based security market, it's clear that VARs and systems integrators who understand the data network, and even more complex outdoor wireless networks, will have the advantage," comments John O'Shea, Tech Data vice president, networking product marketing. Tech Data now distributes a wide range of Pelco products, including IP surveillance cameras, video recorders and displays, as well as enclosures, domes, lenses, mounts, power supplies and other accessories.
