Webconference discusses TIA fiber-optic cabling standards and trends

TIA Fiber Optics Technology Consortium will make a 75-minute presentation on fiber-related specs and standards under revision.

The TIA’s Fiber Optics Technology Consortium (FOTC) will present a webconference on Tuesday, March 26 during which it will provide updates on standards, news and trends related to fiber-optic cabling and networking.

The event will be held live from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm EDT on the 26th. There is no cost to attend. The FOTC’s Standards Chair Peter Pondillo of Corning will provide updates on fiber-related standard specifications as well as a review of standards currently under revision.

Attendees will earn one ITS continuing education credit from BICSI for participating in the webconference. Anyone interested in attending can register here. Individuals will receive login information after registering.
