October 21, 2009 -- The Communications Cable and Connectivity Association (CCCA) welcomed six new member companies at its fall 2009 board meeting in Las Vegas. The new CCCA members are ADC, Belden, Cable Components Group, Optical Cable Corporation, PolyOne, and Sentinel Connector Systems.
Kevin Ressler, Tyco Electronics Corporation, and CCCA chairman of the board, comments, "We at CCCA are thrilled these companies have chosen to add their voice to ours in addressing the key issues facing the structured cabling systems industry. It is very encouraging to add CCCA members from across the industry including materials supply, fiber and copper cable and connectivity, and distribution. Our growth, in both breadth and numbers, signifies that CCCA initiatives and programs are impactful and provide value to member firms.”
In addition to the aforementioned members, other CCCA members include: Accu-Tech, AlphaGary, Anixter, Berk-Tek, CommScope, Daikin America, DuPont, Dyneon, General Cable, OFS, Solvay Solexis, Superior Essex, and Tyco Electronics.
CCCA, a non-profit corporation formed in 2007, has a stated mission "to serve as the major resource for well researched, fact-based information on the technologies and products of structured cabling media to support current and future needs of the networking, IT and communications industries."
CCCA also is active with codes and standards bodies and other trade, industry and governmental organizations in handling policy and decisions affecting the quality, performance and societal needs of the structured cabling infrastructure.
