Telecom test set provides enhanced line condition, status information

T3 Innovation has introduced its has introduced its TLA300 Tel-Scope Telecomm Test Set.

T3 Innovation (Camarillo, CA), a provider of handheld test equipment for applications including cable/telecommunications, datacom/networking, electrical design and maintenance, and residential/CEDIA custom installations, has introduced its TLA300 Tel-Scope Telecomm Test Set, designed to deliver more line condition and status information than comptetive telephone line testers.

The TLA300 test set comes with a slate of features not found on any other telephone ‘butt’ sets, claims T3. The tool's large backlit display shows information clearly, with a glow in the dark keypad the unit can be used in low light environments. The unit is also 100 percent weather- and rainproof.

Additional Tel-Scope features and specifications include: an angled bed-of-nails and piercing clip cord set; a large backlit LCD display and glow in the dark keypad; on-hook voltage readings and off-hook current readings; caller ID/call waiting and error detection; last number called and/or received lists; amplified line monitoring; a soft key menu system; a Data Defender feature to keep digital lines safe; the ability to detects and identify DSL and T1 lines; an eight-number stored memory; DTMF digit capturing; displays for ring frequency and ring voltage; drop tested to 20 feet; multiple language (English, Spanish and French) options / display set up choices; and a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.

“The Tel-Scope includes the most sophisticated data in-line discovery and protection available today,” explained Ron Vogel, T3 Innovation CEO. “Using Independent Technologies’ patented ‘Data Defender’ system, the Tel-Scope offers a complete menu for measuring data, actively monitoring and detection of high line voltages. The Data Defender feature also includes Digi-Secure features that protect digital lines from disruption by outside test equipment.”
