Fluke Networks (Everett, WA) announced that its FI-500 FiberInspector Micro and DSX-8000 CableAnalyzer were recognized by the judges of the Cabling Installation & Maintenance 2017 Innovators Awards program to be among the industry’s most innovative products. The awards were presented on September 25 at the 2017 BICSI Fall Conference (Sep. 24-28) in Las Vegas.

The Fluke Networks FI-500 FiberInspector was presented with the Platinum-level Innovators Award, the program's highest-level award, and the DSX-8000 was selected to receive a Silver-level award, as judged by a panel of cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers. The awards are intended to acknowledge the clear benefits of these tools over previous methods, approaches and products.

Fluke Networks FI-500 FiberInspector was recognized with the program's Platinum award for its innovation as the first fiber video inspection probe with an integrated flashlight to make it easy for network installers to inspect fibers in today’s crowded fiber patch panels. Fluke Networks' PortBright feature, coupled with autofocus and a large, high-contrast display, make the FI-500 an essential scope for fiber technicians operating in dense, low-light environments.

The Fluke Networks DSX-8000 CableAnalyzer received a Silver -level award, as the first field tester independently certified and endorsed to meet all the requirements for the Category 8 field testing standard. The DSX-8000 is the flagship tester in the company's Versiv Cable Certification Family, continuing the Fluke Networks tradition of designing innovative products to help data communications installers more quickly, accurately and profitably achieve system acceptance for copper and fiber jobs.

“The Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovator Awards and the judging panel would like to congratulate Fluke Networks on receiving Platinum and Silver awards,” said Cabling Installation & Maintenance Group Publisher Alan Bergstein. “This recognition highlights the most innovative products in the structured cabling industry. It is a pleasure to once again celebrate Fluke Networks‘ significant contribution to the industry.”

The recognition by the judges of CI&M’s Innovators Award highlights Fluke Networks' continuing research and development of industry-leading products and services. Last year, CI&M awarded Fluke Networks three Gold Innovators Awards for its LinkWare Live with Asset Tracking,OptiFiber Pro OTDR with SmartLoop, and LabelLink, a Brother Mobile Solutions mobile app integrated with Fluke's LinkWare Live service.

The Cabling Installation & Maintenance 2017 Innovators Awards program reviews and recognizes the most-innovative applications of cabling and communications technology products and systems within the structured cabling industry. Platinum, Gold, and Silver Honorees were announced at BICSI's 2017 Fall Conference in Las Vegas on Monday, September 25, 2017. Criteria used in the Innovators Awards ranking included: innovation, value, sustainability, collaboration, and impact.

“Once again, we are honored to be recognized by our industry peers and such a respected organization,” said Eric Conley, Vice President and General Manager of Fluke Networks. “Fluke Networks is dedicated to helping make cable installers and technicians jobs easier and more productive, and ensuring they have the best and most innovative tools and services to install, manage and operate the most advanced systems and networks in the world.”
