Edgewater Wireless previews Wi-Fi 7 silicon capabilities at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2022

With 26 granted patents, Edgewater says its Multi-Channel, Single Radio (MCSR) technology revolutionizes Wi-Fi delivery for next-generation advanced Wi-Fi silicon solutions, access points, and IP licensing.

Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. (TSXV: YFI) (OTC: KPIFF), known for supplying its Wi-Fi Spectrum Slicing technology for residential and enterprise communications markets, is attending this week's SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2022 (Sept. 19-22) in Philadelphia. At the show, Edgewater will preview to select cable broadband industry leaders the potential of its proprietary multi-link silicon chip technology, and how it can meet service providers' needs arising from the emerging Wi-Fi 7 standard and its hallmark feature, Multi-Link Operation (MLO).

Edgewater contends its groundbreaking in-band multi-link silicon technology has "proven superior to the current single-channel architecture used in all of today’s Wi-Fi systems, delivering 50% lower latency and a throughput benefit of 7 to 18 times," per a company statement. "More significantly, improved latency and throughput were demonstrated using a mix of legacy and contemporary Wi-Fi devices," added Edgewater.

As further proclaimed by a press release:

"The first of its kind, Edgewater’s Spectrum Slicing approach offers service providers a clear path to deliver groundbreaking performance to ALL devices -- today’s and tomorrow’s -- eliminating the costly rip-and-replace cycle of legacy Wi-Fi architectures."

MSCR technology boosts WiFi

With 26 granted patents, Edgewater says its Multi-Channel, Single Radio (MCSR) technology revolutionizes Wi-Fi delivery for next-generation advanced Wi-Fi silicon solutions, access points, and IP licensing.

Edgewater’s physical layer Spectrum Slicing technology allows a frequency band to be divided, or sliced, to enable more radios to operate in a given area. The company's statement explains further:

Think of Spectrum Slicing like moving from a single-lane road to a multi-lane highway — regardless of Wi-Fi technology. The recently completed Proof of Concept (PoC) with a major Tier 1 service provider showed 7 to 18 times performance gains in 75% of homes surveyed. Interestingly, homes with the most devices saw the greatest improvements.

Edgewater is offering a preview of the company’s patented Wi-Fi 7 Spectrum Slicing Solutions technology engineered for residential Wi-Fi applications to select cable operator and CableLabs members at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2022.

A hydraulic earth drill with a high-torque anchor handle and utility anchor adapter can significantly improve safety for anchor installation.
Enabling a one-person install, the earth drill has several advantages over manually setting drive rods or using anchor crankers.
