John Armistead, the company's product manager for OSP fiber products, explains.

In the following new video from Superior Essex, John Armistead, the company's product manager for OSP fiber products, explains the technology behind its latest Fiber-to-the-Antenna (FTTA) hybrid cables.

Superior Essex asserts that its lines of FTTA hybrid cables have evolved to meet changes and challenges in the construction and deployment of cell towers. With antennas' electronics having moved from the ground hut to the tower top, a single cable -- with copper conductors for power and optical fiber to satisfy bandwidth demands -- is most practical, contends the company.
