Leviton recognized for transatlantic growth

Leviton Network Solutions earned the Expansion In The UK Award at the BritishAmerican Business Transatlantic Growth Awards.

The Leviton Network Solutions business unit recently was awarded the Expansion In the UK Award at the BritishAmerican Business (BAB) Transatlantic Growth Awards, which were held in London. The award recognizes the recipient’s commitment to trade, investment and jobs between the UK and the US.

Leviton Network Solutions expanded into the UK following its acquisition of Brand-Rex in 2015. The company said that over the past four years it “has accelerated the pace of innovation and made significant investments in the UK and Europe. The acquisition joined two leaders in network connectivity and cable, allowing Leviton to provide full end-to-end structured cabling solutions for an international customer base.”

The BAB award acknowledges Leviton’s significant capital investment into UK operations, benefiting the greater transatlantic economy, Leviton Network Solutions said when announcing its receipt of the award. “Such investments include the recently opened Data Centre factory in Glenrothes, Scotland,” the company noted. “This make-to-order facility manufactures custom configurable solutions, including products that combine best US-made network connectivity with European standards-rated cables for a completion solution, delivered rapidly. Further investment was deployed into Leviton’s new sales office in central London. In addition to providing a workplace for more Leviton staff, the flagship office includes a customer solution suite that showcases the latest Leviton network infrastructure products.”

Andy Sharkey, senior sales director of Northern Europe for Leviton Network Solutions Europe received the award on Leviton’s behalf. Sharkey said, “It’s a great honor to be recognized alongside such distinguished and successful companies operating in North America and the United Kingdom. We have put significant investment into better serving our customers in both regions over the years, and it means a lot to be recognized by BritishAmerican Business for our efforts. We look forward to working with them in the future.”

Emanuel Adam, executive director for BritishAmerican Business, commented, “Leviton boasts over a century of innovation and cutting-edge engineering, and its continued expansion and investment in the UK is a clear vote of confidence in the British economy, making them the perfect choice to be recognized by these awards. Their innovative network infrastructure solutions not only provide customers across the world with market-leading products, but their commitment to manufacturing and R&D in the UK and US also provides significant investment and jobs to each economy. It was our pleasure and privilege to present them with the US Expansion in the UK TAG Award, and we look forward to following their incredible growth and success closely in the years to come.”
