Transtector adds new Cat 6a and Cat 5e cables

New cables complement the company’s range of data surge protection and NEMA-rated enclosures.

Transtector Systems, an Infinite Electronics brand, has launched a comprehensive line of Ethernet cable assemblies, complementing the company’s range of data surge protection and NEMA-rated enclosures, and providing customers with a single source for a total Ethernet surge protection platform.

The new product line includes Cat 5e and Cat 6a cables in a variety of configurations, with different flexibility and shielding options, as well as engineering to all key industry standards. Cable lengths range from 1 foot to 250 feet, providing solutions for long background cable runs or short in-panel jumpers. Key configurations are now in-stock for same-day shipping.

Specifically, Transtector’s Ethernet cable options include: Cat 5e and Cat 6a versions, all with TIA-1096 standard RJ45 connectors; double-shielded or foil-shielded and indoor/outdoor-rated designs; industrial jacketing for oil, UV, chemical, water resistance (based on configuration); low-smoke, zero-halogen jackets available; a range of PoE length ratings; burn rating options to meet specific code requirements.

In addition to use with PoE devices, the new cables are suitable for all types of data/Ethernet applications, including PLC/PC controls, WLAN amplifiers, transportation and antenna systems, industrial installations, premise wiring, and more.
