The company expects to have put in FTTP infrastructure in 21 communities in the state by early next year.

ALLO Communications says it will expand its 10G fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) footprint into Ashland, Milford, Seward, Sidney, and York, Nebraska.

The company expects to have FTTP infrastructure in 21 communities in the state by early next year.

ALLO currently serves 21 communities total in Nebraska (where it serves 16 communities now), Colorado (four communities), and Arizona (where it operates in one community).

Work on the new FTTP deployment should begin next spring, following on the heels of a recently completed FTTP expansion in Norfolk, Wayne, and Valentine, NE.

Additional work is ongoing in in Columbus, Fremont, Grand Island, and Kearney.

"We have always had a big focus on our home state of Nebraska. We are excited to connect hundreds of thousands of Nebraska residents and businesses to our award-winning fiber technology while also bringing economic growth to each community," said Brad Moline, ALLO’s president and CEO.

ALLO plans to complement its symmetric 10G services with WiFi 6 capabilities.

Services will include internet, data transport, video, voice, phone systems, and redundant connectivity to AWS, Azure, and other cloud providers.
