BICSI’s 16th Annual Cabling Skills Challenge

BICSI invites BICSI-credentialed installers and technicians to enter an application for its Cabling Skills Challenge.

Current BICSI-credentialed technicians and installers are qualified to enter in the Cabling Skills Challenge. Challengers can compete to win the title of BICSI Installer of the Year and various prizes, with the top candidate receiving $5,000. 

Requirements to enter the challenge are to be a BICSI-credentialed Installer or Technician. Per BICSI’s challenge web page, “Competitors are selected based on qualifying criteria such as professionalism, quality of resume, and work experience. An attempt will be made to equally represent all regions.”

For female competitors they can apply for the BICSI Cares Women in BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge grant. The grant, which provides financial support toward direct travel costs for participating in the challenge, will be given to a female who has been accepted as a competitor and has completed the grant application here.

The Cabling Skills Challenge will be held Monday and Tuesday of the 2024 BICSI Winter Conference which is taking place from January 28th to February 1st in Orlando, Florida, United States. You can apply for the Cabling Skills Challenge here.
