Questions arise regarding AT&T's domestic spy practices: Report Project Hemisphere was first uncovered by the New York Times in 2013. At the time, it was described as a partnership between AT&T and the U.S. government solely for investigating drug trafficking. Now, according to new reporting, it appears the project was used for a range of additional surveillance, including homicide investigations and Medicaid fraud.
