Trick #3: Big Lots = Big problems

One of the more recent alerts from Underwriters Laboratories about cable products that use the UL mark without authorization noted that the offending Category 5e patch cords are known to be sold at Big Lots. According to UL’s notice, there were 95,120 units of the patch cables put onto the market. So you make the call about which is the more offensive trick: The manufacturer of the TriQuest brand patch cables using the UL mark without authorization, or anyone (contractor, consultant, end user) buying a patch cord from Big Lots.
