At next week's 2017 BICSI Winter Conference and Exhibition in booth #845, Superior Essex and Legrand will be showcasing their joint nCompass Systems platform, a suite of high-performance copper and optical fiber structured cabling and connectivity solutions that the companies say is uniquely positioned to satisfy the needs of a variety of IoT technologies and services.
The companies contend that the nCompass Systems are equipped with some of the industry's most advanced cabling, connectivity and cable management capabilities. This includes the platform's Mighty Mo cabinets, designed with honeycomb sidewalls that improve thermal management and energy efficiency, as well as the 10Gain XP Cat 6A cables, which are 0.265” in overall diameter and offer 7dB margin of AXT protection.
The nCompass Systems are also billed as "the first and only structured cabling solutions to offer Environmental Product Declarations, Health Product Declarations, and Product Environmental Profiles for the platform's selection of copper and optical fiber cabling, connectivity and cable management components." End-users can take advantage of these certifications in order to reach their sustainability goals, including supply chain optimization and contributions to green building certifications such as LEED.
“The nCompass Systems solution is really preparing end-users for the future of structured cabling and its role in the IoT,” says Ken Braziel, vice president of enterprise sales at Superior Essex. “It gives them the flexibility and potential for growth that they need to meet their network requirements over the next 20 years, while also keeping in mind environmental considerations and the rising demand for sustainable products and product transparency.”
The 2017 BICSI Winter Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida, from January 22-26, 2017.
