ITW Linx launches adaptive surge protection with lightning detection

The TSP-L Linx Guard device monitors the integrity of electrical power, and adapts its performance and operating mode to the conditions required to protect the electrical systems and equipment connected to it.
ITW Linx (Carol Stream, IL) has announced the launch of its TSP-L Linx Guard adaptive surge protection device with lightning detection.

The TSP-L series' preemptive lightning detection works in tandem with adaptive AC surge protection by detecting the proximity and severity of lightning, and adjusting its performance and operating mode to enable preemptive protection measures.

The new device protects critical equipment and infrastructure protection in 120/240 VAC electrical environments.

The manufacturer says its TSP-L series is designed to detect lightning and then isolate equipment before the damaging event happens.

The TSP-L device monitors the integrity of electrical power, and adapts its performance and operating mode to the conditions required to protect the electrical systems and equipment connected to it.

Target applications include outside plant, remote telecom equipment, security and automation sites, DAS and wireless systems, oil and gas plants, and rail and transportation systems.
