GigNet Mexico provides internet and advanced broadband connectivity to Shark Tower.

Mexico's GigNet, a digital infrastructure specialist with an extensive regional fiber-optic broadband network, in November announced that it has completed network installation of all inside plant systems throughout Shark Tower, an iconic luxury condominium development at the Puerto Cancun Marina in Cancun.

Jesus Moran, Senior Vice President of Engineering at GigNet Mexico said, “This is a signature project for our engineering and operations team. We connected the building to our regional digital infrastructure platform, we have completed installing fiber optics throughout the property, and we will complete installation at units as they are sold and prepared for occupancy. Our high-speed digital solution can also be experienced now at the Shark Tower Showroom.”

All units at the new, high-profile luxury condominium, as developed by Luximia, will feature state-of-the-art digital living amenities, says the firm. The uniquely designed property which resembles a shark dorsal fin features 20 floors, 134 condominiums, and six “Mansions at Shark.”

Mauricio Rovirosa, Director of Operations for Luximia, commented: “We create developments that make a valuable environmental impact. Shark Tower is the world's first shark-inspired tower and will also protect the species. We believe this combination of engineering, design, technology, science, and biology results in an impressive fusion between nature and architecture where luxury is in every detail. Our developments are designed to connect residents with nature and loved ones. This is why we selected the best provider of Internet so that our owners will enjoy the most reliable connectivity available for their needs of today and tomorrow. GigNet has fulfilled our expectations for the world class service we want to provide our residents, to match this property which will soon be known throughout Mexico and the world.”

As stated by the partners, "More than just a luxury residence, Shark Tower gives new meaning to sustainable architectural design, with a laboratory aimed at researching and preserving endangered shark species and a percentage of sales to be donated for this initiative. The property also features first class amenities for residents including pools, lounges, spa, fitness center and nearby access to golf, marina, beaches, shopping, and restaurants."

“We are proud to be partnering with Shark Tower,” concluded Mark Carney, OBE, President of GigNet Mexico. “We are providing our fiber-optic service for fast, reliable Internet connectivity and a WiFi solution that delivers an exceptional user experience and a service level guarantee of 99.99%. To match the incredible design of Shark Tower, our team has designed and installed a world-class connectivity experience. We are providing our GigNet service for fast and reliable digital services that allow residents the opportunity to live, work, relax, and entertain – making possible every aspect of smart home living at its finest.”
