Patch and splice kits accommodate singlemode and multimode fiber

Fiber Instrument Sales (FIS) now offers patch and splice cassette kits that accept up to 12 SC fiber connections or 24 LC fiber connections. The configurations are available in UPC and APC singlemode versions as well as OM3 and OM4 multimode versions.

Made of 0.60-inch aluminum and featuring an electrostatically applied black powder coat, the cassettes’ dimensions are 5.10x6x1.03 inches. Other characteristics include a removable adapter plate, removable splice chips, and a clear lid. A 1-meter pigtail and 40-mm splice sleeves are included with each cassette.

FIS said configurations accommodating ribbon/mass-fusion splices will be available soon.
