OmniCable recently announed that it hired Carmel Cunningham as Director of Business Development, Communications Business Unit. Cunningham’s role consists of leading the execution of the company’s growth strategies in the industrial automation connectivity end markets.
Cunningham commented on her position stating, “I am thrilled to join the team at OmniCable after working with them for many years. The opportunity to be involved in building a new business unit alongside some of the best in the industry is beyond exciting for me.”
She has 35 years of experience in the communications industry, 15 of which were within the industrial sector. Cunningham has extensive experience within the industry with ten years spent at CommScope, 15 years at Belden with two spent with Rockwell, and her most recent being two years with Cisco Systems.
OmniCable had launched its Datacom Business unit in mid-2023. Regarding this, the company says, “OmniCable now has a dedicated team to focus on broadband and enterprise products and solutions for our distributor customers.”
