ETI Software and Harmonic Created an Integrated Solution for Virtualized Network Devices
ETI Software and Harmonic announced an Element Management System (EMS) for virtualized network devices. ETI’s low-code API integration engine, intelegrateSM, connects with Harmonic’s cOS broadband platform, allowing for “robust interoperability with all Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) devices within a fiber network”.
By providing device interoperability, broadband providers end up having lower operational costs. “By enabling enhanced remote diagnostics and management capabilities, the integrated solution delivers the benefits of a virtual Optical Line Terminal (vOLT) API-driven Element Management System (EMS), simplifying network management and providing a unified operational view.”
“ETI is excited to partner with Harmonic to deliver this integrated solution for fiber deployments,” said David Tidd, Vice President of Engineering at ETI. “The agility and API-led architecture of intelegrateSM are ideally suited to connect with innovative platforms like Harmonic’s cOS, empowering operators to streamline their fiber rollouts and achieve operational savings.”
Hy Huynh, Vice President, Fiber Products, at Harmonic added, “Harmonic’s cOS™ platform for fiber is designed to simplify and accelerate fiber deployments for cable operators. This integration with ETI further enhances the value proposition by providing seamless interoperability and reducing operational complexities, ultimately benefiting our mutual customers.”
The companies’ integrated solution paves a faster, more efficient path for telecom and broadband providers to manage and deploy their fiber networks and allows them to meet and take advantage of the increasing demand for high-speed broadband services.
