ILSCO, a provider of electrical connectors as well as products like busbars that can be used in telecommunications grounding applications, recently added to its electrical-connectivity portfolio. The new MAC Block mechanical splice and tap connectors from ILSCO are designed for use with building code and flex conductor.

Available in the following colors: purple, black, white, and green, the connectors accept up to four conductors of varying sizes per port. They are certified for power and grounding applications.

The company says the MAC Block splice and tap connectors can be installed anywhere a twist-on wire connector can, "with one exception - MAC Block can be used to retrofit aluminum to copper connections."

ILSCO contends the new product "runs cooler with a high level of retention versus leading twist-ons."
