Geist offering data center professionals two tiers of DCIM training

June 24, 2014
Two-day and three-day courses dive deep into the company’s Environment DCIM software.

Geist recently announced it has established a two-tier training program for its Environet data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software system. Matt Lane, president of Geist’s DCIM division, explained, “We have designed these new training courses in response to feedback from our end-user customers and channel partners. The two-tier approach to end-user training allows us to address the different needs of the data center and facilities personnel who use our DCIM solutions. Both courses are very hands-on and provide attendees with a real understanding of Environet. We plan to run these courses every quarter to meet customer demand.”

The first level of training is the Field Integration Training program, a two-day course that provides an in-depth view of Environet. According to Geist, this course includes sessions exploring how devices are integrated into the solution. After completing this course, individuals may progress to the System Implementation Training program. This three-day course provides attendees with an advanced level of technical expertise of the Environet solution, Geist said.

“Both training programs are suitable for system administrators, facilities managers, data center managers and NOC technicians,” Geist noted, “and are held at Geist offices in Fort Collins, CO.”
