Data Center Frontier, a sibling brand to Cabling Installation & Maintenance under the ownership of EndeavorB2B, announced its fourth annual Data Center Frontier Trends Summit will take place May 5-7, 2027 at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa in Glendale, AZ. It will co-locate with the Microgrid Knowledge event, which EndeavorB2B points out will “bring the data center and distributed energy communities onto a shared show floor.”

Move Follows Success in Data Center Alley

Endeavor made the announcement on August 4, the opening day of the 2026 Trends Summit in Reston, VA. At this year’s event, more than 500 data center professionals including operators, developers, engineers, and capital providers gathered to examine what it takes to build, power, and operate the infrastructure the AI era demands.

The company further stated that collocating with Microgrid Knowledge—the first time either event has shared a floor with another brand—“is the most significant structural change in the Summit’s four-year history, and it reflects where the two audiences have been converging on their own: power.”

Power: A Foundational Data Center Issue

The Data Center Frontier Trends Summit’s 2026 agenda bears out that statement about power as a foundational topic. Session titles from this year’s event include the following.

• The New Geography of AI: Power, Land, and the Future of Data Center Development
• Power First: The New Playbook for Delivering AI Data Centers
• The New Site Selection Stack: Power, Fiber, Water—and Friction
• The AI Power Stack: From Generation to GPU
• On-Site and Behind-the-Meter Power: Strategies for Speed, Certainty, and Control

In addition to sharing exhibit-floor space, the 2027 Data Center Frontier Trends Summit and Microgrid Knowledge also will share some education sessions, “giving attendees a single destination for the full power conversation: from grid interconnection to behind-the-meter generation and storage,” the organizers add. “Trends Summit attendees gain direct access to the microgrid, energy, and utility expertise their projects increasingly depend on. Microgrid Knowledge attendees gain access to the largest and fastest-growing load on the grid, and to the operators and developers building it.”

Shared education sessions notwithstanding, each event will retain its own identity, editorial voice, and conference program.

Arizona's Data Center Allure

Commenting on the geographic move from Virginia to Arizona, Data Center Frontier noted, “The 2027 move follows the industry itself. The Southwest has become one of the fastest-growing data center corridors in North America, with Glendale and the greater Phoenix market drawing record development driven by land availability, transmission access, and an expanding energy-generation mix. Moving the Summit to Arizona puts the conversation where the next wave of capacity is being sited, permitted, powered, and built.”
