Online conference details practical implementations of smart building systems

Smart Connect, to be held November 17, will deliver how-to information for practitioners deploying smart building technologies.

On November 17, CablingInstall's sister site Smart Buildings Technology will host Smart Connect, a day-long online learning event.

The free-to-attend event will include a series of how-to informational sessions and success stories describing the successful integration of smart building systems. Technical experts will bring their practical knowledge and insights to the event.

Technical sessions will be delivered by the organizations sponsoring the event, which include ABB, AEM, Assa Abloy, Belden, Bluetooth, and Corning. They will cover topics including lighting, security, wireless infrastructure, IoT-enabled systems, and network physical-layer infrastructure.

The learning event also will include presentations summarizing recent research projects into the smart buildings market. Those presentations will be delivered by Smart Buildings Technology, the Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA), and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA).
