The ISE EXPO conference and tradeshow, owned and operated by CI&M parent Endeavor Business Media, and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) have announced the inaugural Hands-on Fiber Training program, with sessions to take place during the expo from August 28-29, 2023 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The program begins one day prior to the main body of this year's ISE EXPO, which runs from Aug. 29-31, and includes six tracks covering ICT technology and business topics.
The Hands-on Fiber Training event will provide attendees with the fundamental knowledge needed for working on fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) networks being deployed by MSOs, delivering an in-person, hands-on experience with equipment to install, test and troubleshoot fiber-optic networks.
Participants who finish the program and final exam will earn SCTE Broadband Fiber Installation Certificate Level I and Level II accreditations. Level III is Certified.
All participants will be offered a discount on the SCTE Broadband Fiber Installation professional certification exam to become certified for three years.

- CPE, Cabinets, etc.

- Safety, Hand Stripping, Mini Cleaver
- Straight Splice
- All-in-One Splice & Connectorization
- All-in-One Splice
- SC/APC Connector
- Calculating Optical Power Budgets
- Optical Power Meter, OLS & OTDR
Registration is now open and limited to 50 participants and includes two days of classroom and hands-on activities, coffee and refreshment breaks, welcome reception food and beverage, Tuesday's lunch, SCTE Broadband Fiber Installation Level I & II Certificate, one year access to online materials, discount on SCTE professional certification exam and discount on ISE EXPO full conference pass.
Early-bird registration is valid through July 28, 2023 and saves attendees $250 on registration fees.
